Historical Replay Mode

I'm quite sure this game could easily put other baseball simulations out of business if it could create a historical replay mode. What I mean by that, is the creation of a player solely based on his MLB stats from a certain year with more extreme ratings based on those stats.

I'm in a league which uses Diamond Mind Baseball (which I HATE with a passion) but we have to use that software because I, and my fellow owners, enjoy following our players through the MLB season in anticipation of our next league season (i.e. our 2017 league uses MLB stats from 2016). I'm sure I could get the 23 other owners to switch software packages in a heart beat if OOTP had more extreme ratings based on previous years stats. This mode wouldn't even need a Potential rating system, just a current rating system. Dustin McGowan would be amazing vs righties and terrible vs lefties, LOOGYs and ROOGYs would exist, Hanley Ramirez would CRUSH lefties and probably have 19s and 20s across the board.

Just a wish I've had for a long time. I keep trying to figure out how to promote a change to OOTP and because of this, I just can't do it.

Just installed OOTP18 and noticed the "Optimize Player Ratings for..." option. This might solve my issue.
