OOTP5 - crash importing OOTP4 league

My game crashed every time I try to import an OOTP4 league. After the crash I can go into OOTP5 and try to open the new league that was trying to import. When I do it crashes again and says there is an invalid Players.dat file.

I am using Windows XP, a P4 1.6 Ghz. processer, 320 MB of ram, and an NVidia 16 MB video card.

Also, I do not have anything running in the background.

When you entered the name of the league to be imported did you add "LG"(in caps) to the end or just "lg"?

I entered it exactly like this....

C:\Program Files\OOTP4\MyLeague.LG

Steve, is this the correct format?

Should be, if it did not work then you may already have a league by that name in the folder.

That is not the problem. I have named the new OOTP5 league several different names trying to import and all of them did this.

Any other suggestions???

Are you adding "lg" to the name of the "new league" when it asks?

No, I am just naming it without any extension.

Try creating a directory call "ball" or something and placing the league in there and trying.

Markus, I'm having pretty much exactly the same problem as Maddux 31. I reported in another thread ([url]http://www.400softwarestudios.com/board/showthread.php?s=&threadid=25712[/url) but haven't been able to come up with a solution. I know you're busy, but would you mind if I send you my OOTP4 league files to check out, too?

Thank you Markus. I just emailed you a zip file containing all of the .dat files. I emailed them to your .400Software email address, so I hope that is the correct one.

Steve - I tried adding the league file to another folder called "Ball" and that did not work either.

This happened to me as well. The first time I load the league I can get to the fantasy draft before crashing.
