Pitch selection

I know this is probably very difficult to code or it probably would already be done, but I would LOVE to see a "percentage thrown" attached to each pitch a pitcher throws. Rich Hill throws a fastball, curveball, slider, and a changeup, but he throws almost entirely fastballs and curves throwing each at about 50%. When playing out a game with him in OOTP, however, he throws mostly fastballs while splitting up the rest of his secondary pitches pretty much evenly. Oftentimes in sequencing that makes little sense.

Maybe this doesn't have an affect on the actual simulation--I don't know, but it would be cool to see it to help us better evaluate how a pitcher achieves results.

Agreed. I think this would be an excellent option.

Micro league baseball and Earl Weaver allowed pitch selection. I can't imagine that it being to difficult to code. But it might be a bear to implement in an already set engine.

Also some hitters hit certain pitches better in real life. It would add to the game for sure.
