Best Feature I'm not using

Sometimes I get lost in this game.

I'm a quick simmer. I sim a month at a time trying to build up a team that hasn't had the greatest success (or my beloved Orioles which I guess is the same thing) but I don't know what I don't know.

Are there screens or features of the game that are lurking in the shadows that I'm missing? I've played every iteration of this game since the beginning and I'm afraid that I've become a creature of habit and could be missing some truly remarkable stuff.

So, what are your hidden gems?

Thanks,
Mike

If you don't know what you don't know how are we supposed to know what you don't know?

Ok, so my post was a little tongue in cheek.

What caused me to even make the post in the first place was that I stumbled upon the meet the team screen and the team chemistry screens. Maybe they aren't exactly like they used to be, or I've missed them in the past, or could be that they are completely new.

But it made me wonder, what else am I missing?

And boom, someone says Arizona Fall League. No idea what that is. Well IRL yes, but the game? No clue. Do I have to add them? Can I assign players to them to try to get my prospects extra time?

The draft seems very bland. Am I missing some extra scouting that I could be doing?

Does it really matter if most of my players don't like the coach?

I get great joy from playing and replaying this game, my real reason for posting was to see if there are things that could make it even better!

Thanks,

Mike

Maybe look through the new features list for this version and last? If you're a simmer, some of the in-game 3D stuff should be new and fresh for you. Maybe the real-time mode (or whatever it's called -- you know, when the games are played out at 300x)?

I enjoy using relative ratings if you dont use them already. It makes the drafting alot funner (i know not proper english). Once you start seeing 1 star rated on the MLB scale, I start moving it down by level and you can start to see the minor differences in players. Because at the back half of the draft you are trying to find a diamond in the rough and fillers for the minor league system.

That's a great idea! Thank you!

I'm just going to nickname you "Satch" in honour of Satchel Paige who once said: "How old would you be if you didn't know how old you was?"
