Hall of Fame voting question

Quick question re Hall of Fame voting: is this aspect of the game affected if my league runs across December and January?

More context if that question doesn't make sense

Currently, the game inducts players into the Hall of the 1st Tuesday of January, correct?

However, my season runs from October to March, and so far since importing to 16 (I'll get to 17 eventually; i do own it

), I have seen no option to vote for the Hall during that 30-day period before the 1st Tuesday of January. So, will my season running across those months affect whether I can use the voting system for the Hall?

do you have Hall of Fame voting enabled?
league setting> options and left side of screen.
my game runs April to Oct. in early Dec the voting comes up, and it's announced around Jan 5-8. In the MLB folder on the game screen, i get an exclamation point (also an email) telling me the voting is open.

Yes, i do have Hall of Fame voting enabled. I guess i'll have to play through next December/January and see if it works.

Hmmm .. i don't know why it hasn't shown up then. Hope you get it working, as it's a nice feature. Maybe someone with a better grasp of the game will chime in. Oh, & glad you like my league name ....

Update: this seems to be working now, though i had to go in and add 2 league events (Hall of Fame Voting Begins; and Hall of Fame Voting Results) to get it going

Yeah, by default the HOF voting runs in the off-season. I'm guessing what's happening is that at the start of the off-season, we schedule the HOF dates, but they end up scheduling in the past (ie. if your "2016" season ends in March 2017, but we schedule the HOF voting in January 2017, which happens to be in the past).

So yeah, for now you'll have to schedule the events manually, but everything else should fine.

Ah yep, makes sense thanks. Yeah, I also had to delete the HOF dates scheduled for the previous season (they still existed under League Events, which I'm guessing is because of the scheduling issue you mentioned)
