Award Icons on Steam version?
I recently got OOTP 17 on Steam and was wondering about award icons. I was looking for the images folder and couldn't locate it (I have the non-Steam version of OOTP 16 and used custom award icons without an issue)... Does anyone know where it is so I can do custom award icons for the Steam version? Thanks a lot!

I added my custom award icons to the following location:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Out of the Park Baseball 17\data\skins\ootp 17\images I am using the default skin. If the images directory does not exist, create it. If you use a different skin in your game, you may need to copy your award icons into the correct skin directory. Example for classic: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Out of the Park Baseball 17\data\skins\ootp 17 classic\images If I remember correctly, I had to add the award icons, delete the skin.bin file and then restart OOTP17. --Joe |

I tried this but it doesn't seem to re-build the skin.bin file. I loaded the images under the normal skin and deleted the skin.bin, so the game just booted in classic skin. So I loaded the images and deleted the classic skin.bin, and it started in dark skin. Tried the same thing, and the game wouldn't load up and gave me an "unable to load any skin" error.
I can live with the default icons but would love my custom ones. Any other suggestions, anyone? |

How many folders do you have at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Out of the Park Baseball 17\data\skins\ootp 17?

There were none until I manually created an "images" folder. Just the skin.bin and defaults.cfg files. When I delete the skin.bin and start the game, it doesn't rebuild the skin.bin file and instead just defaults to the OOTP Classic skin.

That's odd. It should rebuild the skin.bin file when it's not present.

Yeah, I had no trouble doing it on my non-Steam copy of 16. But the Steam version of 17 is different.
