Throw the damn ball

I know this is a programing issue BUT, it really aggravates me when the cut off man doesn't throw the ball and 2 runs score. At least throw the ball to the plate.

I find myself wishing they'd throw the ball less often since it ends up allowing trailing runners to advance an extra base.

watch Major league baseball these days, and you see the same thing, unfortunately.

The most annoying is when they don't even throw for the winning run in the bottom of an inning. I mean at least try.

While that is annoying that may just be the game telling you that it was hopeless. In real baseball they don't always make the throw either if the guy is rounding third before the outfielder has even retrieved the ball. What I find reprehensible is when they throw home in the bottom of the ninth in a game where they lead by more than one run, allowing the trailing runner to advance. That is something you don't see in a real MLB game.

I assume you're watching the play in 3D.

I think it's more a of a timing issue with the 3D animation. The animated play takes place faster than the actual play that's depicted. Another way to put it is, some of the 3D animation may be slightly out of sync with the actual play outcome.

That stuff will probably be fixed in due time.

I agree on the 2nd point, but there's a lot of times where on a shallow sac fly the guy just throws to the cutoff man. At least extend me those extra 1-2 seconds of not knowing that I lost.

My point is somewhat related yet more the opposite! As a GM I watch my playoff games, but not on 3-D. The issue I have is when I'm trailing by a few runs and desperately need runners on base the batters tend to unnecessarily stretch doubles into triples and get thrown out. This seems to happen far too often with lead off batters. I know getting thrown out at a base is the nature of the game, but why are they not stopping at second if there was even a risk of being gunned down at third? I'm so used to it I can almost 'sense' that the runner will get tagged out!!

It's frustrating....
