Save current league with new name

I would like to create a second version of an existing league, so that I can make a parallel universe, make changes in one league, but not the other, and see how the two leagues diverge.

Basically, how do I save my league under a new file name, while not affecting the original league? I'm running OOTP 17 on a Mac.

The way I do it is to make a backup of your league, then immediately restore the backup. When you do that, you will be prompted to enter the location you want the backup restored to. Type whatever you want the parallel universe filename to be and the game will create a new save game folder for your parallel universe using that name.

From the opening screen you can:
1. click on "Game Settings" towards the bottom, middle of the screen.
2. A pop-up window will appear and click the "Troubleshooting" button, top right.
3. Click the "Open folder containing saved games" left column

This will take you to the window where your saved game lives. You can then treat that folder like any other computer folder/file - meaning you can right-click to copy/paste it to another location, rename it, save as, etc.

I made a shortcut to this file on my computer so I can get to it without all of the steps above.

I routinely go this route to drag copies of my saved game to iCloud as my "extra" backup.

Better Idea is in File Manager copying League Files into another League ones.
