manually scheduling games in the noon hour
I have found across that last few OOTP versions, including 17, that it is impossible to manually schedule a game in the noon hour (at 12:00 pm, 12:05 pm, 12:35 pm, as examples) without the game then switching the time to AM (so, for example, switching a 12:05 pm start to 12:05 am). Seems like a bug. Has anybody else found this to be the case?

The schedule files use the 24-hour time format. So entering 1200 or 1205 as the start time in the schedule file itself should work.

To clarify: If I manually enter a 1:05 pm start time, I get a 1:05 pm start time in the schedule editor (which will then show on the league schedule as a 4:05 pm eastern start time for a game on west coast, or 1:05 pm eastern start time for a game on the east coast). And if I enter a 5:05 pm start time, it will show as a 5:05 pm start time in the schedule editor, and on the league schedule it will show as as an 8:05 pm eastern start time if the game is west coast game, or a 5:05 pm eastern start time if the game is on the east coast. However, if I enter a 12:05 PM start time it will then save in the editor as a 12:05 AM start time in the schedule editor, and on the league schedule it will show as either a 12:05 AM or 3:05 AM start time, depending upon if it's a west coast or east coast game. So, basically, the schedule editor works fine - as far as I know - EXCEPT if you want to enter a game that is to begin in the noon hour, locally. (It is possible to get a 12:05 pm start time for a manually entered game, but the only way to do it is to enter a west coast game starting at 9:05 am; then it shows on the league schedule as starting at 12:05 pm eastern... but that is neither realistic, nor does it solve the problem). |

Another oddity, possible bug:
A game that is part of the imported schedule, starts at 10:05 pm in the schedule editor, and is played on the west coast starts at 10:05 pm Eastern on the league schedule. However, if you manually enter a west coast game with a start time of 10:05 pm, it will show up on the league schedule as starting at 1:05 AM Eastern. So I guess imported start times are Eastern, whereas manually-input start times are local. Strange. |

You can type in 00:05 for example. That will give you 12:05 pm. At least that works for me.
And yes, with the 24 hour format, 00:05 should be 12:05 am. But well. It works. |

Developers: Any news on a fix? This has been a problem since OOTP 15 or so.

Yeah, looks like a bug. Can fix it for 18 so that things are more logical. ie. if you specify a time, we default to PM. If you want an AM time, enter "11:35 AM" and that should work. If you want noon, 12:35 = 12:35 PM. If you want midnight, then either 00:35 or 12:35 AM is what you should write.
