Players with under two years shouldn't be exposed, as they are automatically protected:

* All first- and second-year professionals, as well as all unsigned draft choices, will be exempt from selection (and will not be counted toward their club's applicable protection limits).

Yup, it's because the draft in-game is in July instead of June, so by that point they're technically third-year. I think we'll have to adjust the rules slightly.
