Pointless Tie Breakers Scheduled

I bought OOTP17 and I was so happy with the level of customization involved in the game. After a week or so I've finally created a super League of 128 teams. 64 in each sub league and 8 divisions of 8 teams each.

Everyone plays 162 games and all is fine and I was happy with the season. But then the cpu started to add extra games to teams schedules that had nothing to do with tie breakers.

This was very frustrating to me and I not sure what is wrong.

Even my playoff set up seems to be fine. I have all 8 division winners getting a bye. Then 16 wild card teams. Meaning the other 40 teams are eliminated. The 16 wild card teams should playoff to get to a Round of 16 and that all works perfectly Its just these extra games added on and there NOT Tie Breakers!!... That is very frustrating to my experience. Please help !!

Screen shots of your playoff set up and of the upcoming schedule, standings etc. would really help.
