League won't open on second computer

I am going out of town for the weekend and am in the middle of a season.
I would like to take the game with me and play on my laptop.
I was able to move the league over -- via both dropbox and flashdrive -- but when I try to open it, I get "How do you want to open this file" and a number of options, none of which are OOTP.
What am I missing?

Is it in the identical file path as the original league on computer one?

Dola wait! Are you opening the league from within OOTP? What you say above suggests you are double clicking on the league folder.

I believe I am probably clicking on the league folder.
I have a feeling, the league folder moved over but not the components needed to run the game.
Is there any way to do that, or is it already there but I am not finding it.

Stupid question: Is OOTP installed on the laptop? Assuming yes, I think you'll just need to copy the .lg folder into the save games folder within your OOTP folder. Then open OOTP And when you click load games you should see your league.

Edit: I hope you figure it out. I'm enjoying your dynasty despite the fact that I'm a Reds fan.

No OOTP is not installed on the laptop.
Is there a way to do that?

Just...download and install OOTP. Your OOTP purchase comes with two licenses so you can use the same serial number to activate OOTP on your laptop (if you bought the game via Steam, just install it through Steam).

if they are on the same network, share 1 of the ootp\data directories. set up a custome data path for the one that doesn't keep it locally.

if you have storage online, i believe you can set it up for that too?

this is only a great idea if you intend to play the same league on both deveices. if its for a kid or whatever in your house, no need. they will want their own saved stuff and no big deal if it's in a 2nd location. you can always manually find the other directory, if you want to load a league from a different location on your network.
