Question on amateur draft
I should know this but ...
Do undrafted players become eligible to sign as free agents at any point? Thanks. |

Any undrafted player goes into the free agent pool and can be signed the day after the draft.

Happy to provide screen shots if necessary. (BTW, I have plenty of 16 and 17 year olds in my minor league, its just that they were all drafted). Last edited by cbbl; 09-08-2016 at 05:33 PM. |

Curve Ball is only right in some situation. Most I drafted players (usually high school guys are the only noticeable one, which in guessing is why you see age as the issue) will enter the draft the next year. Players who aren't eligible any more will become free agents.

OK thanks for the clarification ... how does one know whether a player is draft eligible? What are the criteria?
Continued thanks... |
