help with 3d files

I was trying to load 3D models, obj files and I hit open with internet explorer and all the obj files parks changed to (e) internet explorer files that I cannot load. I tried to reload the game and that did not change the files. It appears the game is defaulted to this setting now and I cannot change it. Any suggestions?

could you go back to the files and tell the computer to open them with OOTP? In Windows you can "associate A File type or Protocol With A Program" (that's found in the Control Panel). i don;t know if that would work or not, but might be worth looking at. Or at worse, could you find the files and rename the extensions yourself if the extension name was changed? Otherwise, the worse case scenario - a complete reinstall???? Just an idea or two until someone else has a real solution ... Good luck.
