Rule 5 Returnees in Online

Normally use of the Rule 5 draft in an online league means that should a player be released (the expectation being they're returned to the original team), they often get lost in free agency after all teams export unless an outside-the-game message is relayed.

I assume that is because the export of the releasing team and the export of the original team conflict and the player gets bounced?

The work-around is normally to have a notification thread in which you would post the release (to be returned) and the Commissioner would manually make that happen. Which generally works if the releasing GM acts accordingly and the Commish stays on top of things.

It would be cool (stressing in online again) if a Rule 5 release made it's way to a "To Do List" of some kind for the Commissioner? Flagging the player as a Rule 5 return would be even better. Failing that, the release would be noted in the player history, so the Commissioner could check that should a player randomly show up.

A big "plus one" to this. It's clearly an ongoing bug in online leagues and should be fixed.
