!! Please read !!
I am starting a league and have 2 problems that Im hoping some one could help me out with.
1st: I own OOTP5 but need ID Keys to get a web site on the OOTP sever. So if anyone could help me out with giving me an ID I would appreciate it. You can IM me at Tusso4 or email me at njtusso@yahoo.com. 2nd: If I cant get a server on OOTP does anyone know of a FREE web host that would let me upload all ther OOTP files. Such as a geocities, or angelfire? Anyone know of any others. Any help would be greatfully appreciative. |

I would recommend that BEFORE you try to start a league that you take part in a league for atleast a couple of seasons as an owner/GM.

You don't just ask for ID's. Thats just plain stupid. They are meant to be used by the people that bought the ID, not a league just looking for a handout.

How do you think people get 12 IDS? No oen buys the game 12 times. If you knew anything you would know the same ID can be used twice which means some one could give there ID out.

Is this for real?
So, we're just supposed to give you our IDs so you can get space on the OOTP server? Gee, what a great deal for us and for OOTP..... I sincerely hope no one is stupid enough to give this guy any IDs. On the off chance that you're just being naive and not malicious, my recommendation is that you look around on these boards. There are plenty of places that you can find to host your league, and plenty of people who can give you good advice about which sites are better than others. I hope this help is "greatfully appreciative."

Uhhh, No. An ID can only be used once in obtaining space on the OOTP server. Regardless, why would anyone just hand over their ID to a league they are not a part of? Maybe you aren't jblaze, but you sure have his tact. Last edited by JML; 03-03-2003 at 09:39 PM. |

C'mon guys cut him a break...you can tell he's a newbie, sometimes the newbies get a little excited. I think what he is saying is that he wants these guys to join his league and he is looking for guys who haven't used their ID's in other leagues. I just think he worded it wrongly.

Oh well, I think he just mis-worded his question a little bit, thats all.

It's possible he's merely tactless, rather than malicious.....
In which case, he got answers that were tactless, but not malicious....

I think he didn't understand how the server-space issue worked. He simply saw you needed 12 IDs and figured the only way he could get them short of buying 12 copies was to get them from someone else... I don't think he connected the fact that the league members are the ones that need to provide those IDs.

Im not a OOTP newbie Ive been in many leagues before and own OOTP3 and OOTP4. When I posted the message I was lloking for people who own OOTP5 and are looking for leagues or would be nice enought to give me there ID. Your ID can be used on two computers if you give me it then it wouldnt be hurting anyone.
