Cover portion of salary in future years

I thought I saw this mentioned at one point as being planned for a Patch but maybe I am imagining things.

When you trade away a player with a large contract, give us the ability to cover a portion of his salary in future years, like occurs in real life.

This, opposed to merely sending cash which is a limited fix.

Been requested many times, hopefully it gets implemented in 18.
