Anyone got this beat?
27 inning game, I won 4-3. Simulated this bad boy batter by batter, didn't skip even one half-inning. Anyone have a longer game than this?

No, but I bet you're beat! How long did it take you to play this thing out?

The day after a 10-inning game, with no day off afterwards? Ouch for your bullpen. The next day's starter has a lot of pressure on him to go deep.

So I picture you shouting and applauding several minutes after the man left the podium, and any others who might have been in the room with you wondering what's wrong with you and why the delayed reaction to his speech?

By the way, I just read someplace else, finally, that it was a 42-minute speech.
KowboyKoop, you're a better man than I! [Or woman, as the case may be.] I could not stand that kind of suspense for 42 minutes. My heart would give out, I'm telling ya! ( )

Did it end in a dodgy safe call at home because Jerry Meals wanted to go to bed?
![]() ... not that, y'know, I'm still bitter about that after all these years. Because I CAN let it go, whenever I want to. |
