My Feeder League Test
So I ran this test to answer some questions that have come on this board. The Question...
Are feeder league stats based on potential ratings or current ratings? The answer quite clearly from my test is POTENTIAL RATINGS The test is below |

So I edited 4 players. 2 were edited for high potentials, 2 for low potential but high ratings.
In both cases the values used were the same. So the 190 potential guy (Urbina) would match the 190 actual guy (Francisco) Players chosen Urbina (HR potential), Glover (contact potential) Francisco (Hr actual), Mooris (contact actual) As you can see by the next chart, Urbina and Glover smoke the league, while the other 2 do not. Francisco still had a high average even though his potential home runs were down due to high contact potential. Perhaps the most interesting is Mooris. His actual stats were for a .399 average, yet in the HS feeder he could only hit .176 because his potential ratings were for around a .220 hitter. So I think this test sums up how the stats for feeder leagues are generated. Last edited by sprague; 07-26-2016 at 09:32 AM. |

Nice work personally this is one of the main reasons I don't use feeders because a scout can't determine the potential of a player who currently sucks that one day he will be a star Does not work that way
