Ignore, I answered my question
I have done a search, know the info is on the boards but just can't find it, so will ask here. Forgot how to do this.
To import historical players as a batch, I forgot the setup lehman name, year ....then is it a comma or a semi-colon before the next player. After the final player in the list does there come a semi colon or comma? Thanks EDIT I think I answered my own question...looks like a comma is supposed to be there after the player year. Did a test of two players and looked like it worked Last edited by sprague; 07-08-2016 at 08:58 AM. Reason: Answered |

if there is a comma one place, it should be between all other fields, too.
comma delimited, space delimited, semicolon delimted, etc etc... as it inputs the text it uses those symbols to determine columns. a newline (one word) will delimit rows. |

Can someone walk me through the process of importing a historical player(s) slowly, I can find the "import a historical player" in the free agent section, I think I have the correct player id (charlos99, paigesa01). Things seem to come to an abrupt halt at this point.
Thanks in advance. |

Once you select import historical player - navigate your way to your my documents/OOTP/Stats folder - select historical.odb - select the other options you want - import. If using a text file slect that. A sample text file is attached.

Who is it you are trying to import? Looks like a Negro Leaguer. They are not part of the default DB, only the Sprtize DB has Negro leaguers unless they also played MLB. To my knowledge no lehman ID ends in 99 that is in the default DB.
