Exporting ootp league onto ootp 17

I am trying to transfer ootp 16 league onto ootp 17. I have gone onto "Import ootp 16" and no file has shown there. Can someone explain to me what I must do, step by step, in order to properly transfer my league from ootp 16 to ootp 17. Thank you.
