Question: What's the purpose of "Request Scouting Report?"
Every player I've ever come across in OOTP has already been scouted by both my Scout and the OSA. However, from each player drop down, you have the ability to ask your scout to scout the player. What is the purpose of this? Is it possible the ratings have changed since the last scouting report, and "re-scouting" would update any changes?
Is it a best practice to re-scout any players you're considering trading for, or prospects that are offered in a deal? I feel like I could be overlooking something with this option. |

Gives you an update to their scouting report without having to wait for the monthly (or bi-monthly) scouting schedule (depending on your league settings, what the difficult scouting frequency is).
So if someone is tearing the cover off the ball in your farm system or on another team as trade bait, the option lets you see much sooner whether it's a result of improved attributes, or just luck that is likely to regress. |

If you just happen to be in Commish mode... and just happen to find the edit button for a player... and just happen to explore the options behind that button... and just happen to make a few "edits" than the request scouting report will give you quick feedback on the impact of those "accidental" keystrokes.
