Two Incredible Hitting Streaks

I created a 1946 fictional league called the European Baseball League. I'm in May 1948 right now, and there have been 2 extraordinary streaks of hitting that I've never seen before in this game.

One player had a 60 game hitting streak in 1947 and another guy is hitting .528 early in 1948. Unfortunately, he just got injured and will miss the next six weeks. Too bad, I wished he could have put together a season for the ages.

Neither of these guys is on my team, but I follow them through the news stories. The league is pretty standard -- I'm using the 1940s era hitting statistics but haven't done anything unusual in the setup.
