A list of suggestions

I know 17 has already come out, but I still think these suggestions are worth considering:

Fall League - A lot of people have suggested this, and it should be an option, at a minimum. I would also suggest that Fall League in real life has regulations to it, but there is nothing stopping MLB owners/management from creating a different form of Fall League ball either.

I think we should have the option of Fall and Winter Ball leagues, to include full customization, in that we could setup teams with prospects, veterans, or a mix, and have them play. It could be a scenario where veterans who remain on the free agent market are invited to participate, as a way to heighten the level of competition that prospects face, which benefits them, but also a way for veterans to increase their stock in being signed.

Training - The ability to legitimately train a player is non-existent, and we end up being tied to the amount of time a player has at the plate in a game in order for that player to maintain their skill level. There ought to be options to assign specific training programs to players, so that they can maintain, and improve their ratings, while waiting for game experience. Not all players are going to be starters, but they can't just rot away in a season because they only got 60 games, and five starts.

Positional Coaching - Right now, if we want to change a players position, we just switch it, and move on. That's not exactly realistic. We need an option to train and coach a player at a specific position to make them better at it, legitimately.

Training Staff - While the bench staff is thorough, the training staff is not. A team trainer is not the only position in that field. Teams have physical trainers, physical therapists, chiropractors, strength coaches. They have any, all, and none of these, respectively. The point is we should have those options. We can hire them, or not. Up to us. And this would be another element that factors into the skill level of the players, and makes things that much more realistic.

Off Season Programs - It would make sense that players that have the more positive personality traits would tend to come into spring training improved, as their personality dictates that they will be working just as hard then to become better at their craft. It's not to say they're going to take every day and self-prescribed two-a-days, but they will probably hire a personal trainer, or attend non-mandatory workouts at their club's spring training facilities: Mets Charge Players For Off-Season Workouts

Off Season workouts like this could either be setup with players paying to attend, like this one the Mets "hosted," or be an actually hosted event where the team fully endorses it.

Not all players are going to do any, or all of these things.

Overseas Winter Ball - Some players are going to play winter ball overseas instead, and it's something that should add to improvement to players as well, since the ratio of players who use winter ball to come back harder in spring training is somewhat fair.

Contract Conditions - Of course one thing teams could do is place conditions in contracts to eliminate players from taking up overseas play, or requiring them to train off season, etc. This would mean players have to commit to the team first, and this could have a leveling affect on players who tend to be me-first. Conversely, they could be so selfish that they refuse conditions, or at least some of them, and that adds a whole other element to negotiations.

Training, coaching, off Season programs, and contract conditions are the main four things that should be improved upon in my opinion. They seem to lag behind the most, compared to all other elements of the game.
