Who here has crossed over to 3D full time now?

I'm full time in, and I couldn't imagine of going back, especially now that Silvam has been cranking out these amazing-looking 3D historical stadiums like a machine.

Even with a glitch here or there, it's a blast.

Who here has permanently crossed over to the dark side?

I am very newly in, but I don't even know what you're talking about with the 3-D stadiums.

Go mosey over to the OOTP Mods forum and see. This guy single handedly made 3D even more awesome.

Me Me Me Me Me Me Me. 3D has me playing my first solo league in like 5 years. Nothing is more satisfying than watching a ball fly over the fence with the RF pawn standing there watching and the batter pawn circling the bases. I love it.

(P.S. I never liked the old ball flight. The team did a great job of improving the ball flight for this feature.)

You know what I noticed? It takes literally five seconds to forget that they're pawns.

I will check it out, although I play totally fictional, so I don't have much interest in seeing the 3-D version of Ebbetts field or whatever...

I don't play out games at all, I prefer to sim everything. I made sure to try it out though and it seems nice.

Count me in. The improvement over last year is so vast, I can handle the occasional oddity. Looking forward to future versions.

I had no desire for 3D when it was announced. Now, that's the only way I play.

I too use the 3D quite often. The system I use is I play out most of my division rival games + any important end of season/playoff games in 3D. Then I sim the rest.

I love the 3D too.

It is a smidgen confusing when the on-field 3D action is different than the written text, but that isn't happening very often and overall the 3D is still a blast.

I had gone back to 2D since I was one of the Mac players with occasional screen freeze prior to this latest patch and it just wasn't nearly as enjoyable as the 3D

I love reel time, and watch the game cast, however I really wish it would be great motives upon to resemble something dimilar to MLB.com

I've become addicted to 3D. And when it was proposed I thought it was a waste of programming time. Boy was I wrong!

I want to but I am scared. My game was freezing at random spots using it before.

Should have been fixed in the last patch. But all the same, I save before each game. Worst case I lose a few innings!

I've been watching all the games that I watch (that is, don't sim) in 3D as well.

I do wonder, though, when the 3D rendering differs from the text, which is "right" in terms of what the engine is simulating.

It still has glitches: The 1B sometimes moves in before the pitch arrives to grab a ball hit that way, the P or C sometimes run down a ball that by the 3D rendering should be a chance for the 2B or SS (and the batter, even if fast, runs super-slow to first because the calculations show he was thrown out and it has to give the P or C time to run down the ball in short center), and sometimes I see an IF run away from the ball because I guess he was calculated as missing it. So...it still needs improvements, but will be truly great by next year if the pace of the improvements continues at the rate it has.

I still find it worth using because, much more often than the glitches, I see if a ball was hit into a shift and thus turned into an out, or away from a shift and thus became a hit, or if there probably should have been a shift when there was none because it looks like a shift would have reached a ball that gets through. It had to reach a point where the benefits outweighed the glitches, and for me it has.

I tried it, like I said I would. Then I turned it off, like I knew I would.

It adds nothing to the game for me.
