Crashes when exiting a completed game

I am still getting a game crash randomly when I exit a completed historical game. No error message just a message from Windows saying the game as stopped working. It happened in Windows 7 and now in Windows 10.

Do you get the crash when the game goes to show you the boxscore, or after that when exiting back to the main menu?

Does this happen always, or only some of the time? In a historical exhibition, or simply a normal historical league?

The more details the better we can try to track down what might be happening

It happens after I look at the box score and then select Leave Game (or whatever that button says). It happens randomly (maybe 2 or 3 times in the last month or so) when I am playing a regular season game in a historical league.

Not a cross-exam but what is the 2-3 times out of? Is it 4, 8 10 games. I'm just curious.

Maybe 5 games. However, it just did it again when I tried to replay the game that crashed last time, within the last 2 hours. It was a 1995 replay, Cleveland vs. Red Sox at Fenway. The windows error message which doesn't tell us much. It says that OOTP17.exe has stopped working. Could this have anything to do with the modified 3D ballpark I am using? They work fine in other other games.

It's possible it could be something in the ballpark. Do you also get the crashes when you're just using the default/generic ballparks?

I haven't tried it with that specific game. I have been using the modified 3D parks with other games and there were no crashes. Also, I would think that if the park was the problem, the game would crash during the game not after the box score when it was over

Continuing crash to windows after game in 3D

I played the regular season game for the 3rd time in the 3D wide mode and it crashed after hitting leave game. I tried it again as an exhibition game in the 3D wide mode and it didn't crash. I played the regular season again not in in the 3D mode and it didn't crash. All three of these games were after the latest update. Does the kb size of the .wep files for the 3D park being used have any affect on exiting the game but not on it when playing? The modified .wep files for the 3D parks I am using are larger than what comes with the game. However, I have only had problems playing at Fenway and it is not as large as others.

I just played the next game in the series between Cleveland and Boston at Boston and the game did not crash when I hit Leave Game. The only thing I didn't differently is pause Carbonite before playing the game. Could Carbonite backing up files whilst playing a game cause it to crash when Leaving the game?
