Play Ball! To Options & Preview Very Slow

I've got two leagues currently loaded into OOTP 17. Both MLB leagues. One is imported from 16. The other is a historical league I started in 1982 and simmed to current day.

When I click on Play Ball! the import from 16 takes under 5 seconds to get to the options and preview screen with the lineups and all that. The historical league, which was created in 17, literally takes over a minute to load. Then if I change any settings it take about 30 seconds to load and 30 seconds to apply those settings. Once in the game, whether 3D or broadcast, its very quick. Unless I change an option. Then its another 30 seconds to load.

This doesn't happen with the league I imported from OOTP 16.

I am on a MacBook Air.

Anybody else having these issues?

The only confusing thing for me is the imported league is quick. Very quick. But the historical league created with OOTP 17 is very, very slow. To the point that I no longer wish to play it.

I also have to mention that using the same historical league on my Mac Mini gets the same results. So I don't believe its an issue specifically with my MacBook Air.

I hadn't noticed that factor in your post, just the slowness of changing manager options. My league is an imported template (everything is imported but new players were generated), and it runs fine except for that one thing, that changing manager control options takes a long time.

That isn't nearly enough to ruin the game for me, though.

Changing the manager control options is very slow but in my experience there is a difference between the two leagues I have.

Its not enough to ruin the game for me either. I mean.....I won't be using that historical league until it improves. Its frustratingly slow. But ill be using the imported league. Still having fun with that.
