Games being cancelled

I bought the game through steam. Every time a game is cancelled because of weather, it shows the message "game cancelled due to bad weather" or whatever. Then there is a button that says ok or cancel or whatever. So I click that and then it opens the steam workshop. No matter what I do it does this. And to get rid of it I have to restart my computer. It is really frustrating

apparently you can use f12 instead of the cancel button
