3D View with names during action?

I love the new 3D View. It really completes the OOTP experience for me (I played HH2003 in one pitch mode for years just because of the immersion of the display). The underlying engine left a lot to be desired, but back to OOTP...

One request I would make is to have an option to keep the small player names displayed over the pawns during the action parts of 3D View. It would help the continuity of the immersion (ongoing context of action- is that pawn Andrew McCutchen running towards that fly ball or Nelson Cruz?).

I watch the games play out as GM only and the action can scroll by a little fast- snapping from batter to batter (names pop up and disappear). The names being up all the time would keep it smoother and the immersion continuous.

I used to do that with High Heat, it's so great to finally be able to do it with OOTP as well.

I think the current no pausing could do with a tiny pause between each play just because sometimes you don't quite get time to take in what happened, particularly in one pitch mode with balls and strikes. Just a second or two delay. I play as manager too so press a key/click mouse between plays but for those GM'ing I would think that little pause would be helpful.

If the problem you have is the progression between plays being too quick, you can just select the box labeled "Pause between plays", which you will find near the top of the screen on the right side when you are playing out a game. You can toggle this box at will.

I prefer to watch the game rather than interact with each at bat. I have decided on the 3D View regular, not wide, with my windows around the screen. I like the big picture press box view. If I had an option to keep the small version of just the player names present all the time on this display, the game would be perfect.

I watch the games play out too, but I do interact for pitching changes and pinch hitters and the like....I wouldn't mind seeing the names still on the screen too so I know who's going after the fly ball in the OF or the popup in the IF. Even though the pbp will tell you that it's still nice to know who it is on the screen.
