Huh? Boog Powell Numbers

Let's see, Boog Powell (1969) with a slugging percentage of 560, 37 home runs, and batting over .300 gets a power rating of 55 while Frank Robinson, with basically the same numbers, gets a power rating of 70?

Based on the power ratings of other players from the same era in the game Boog should be in the 70 range.

I just imported the 1969 season using 1-yr recalc (single-season).

Powell: .559 SLG = 70 PWR
Robinson: .540 SLG = 65 PWR

Did you change any of the default settings?

I think the first edition overrated power anyway, to be honest I'd rather see Frank lose some power than Boog gain.

Nope. I am using the historical teams (1969 for Baltimore) single season statistics and Boog has that 55 power rating. Brooks Robinson has the same rating if I remember correctly. Nothing is recalculated. I've noticed many of the other old timers have high power ratings (check out 68 Detroit who have a number of 70 an just below ratings). I've lowered the Home Run rating to 0.600 because when I played this same league in OOTP16 there were far too many homeruns overall, but I am sure Boog have a higher rating.

Yes, but I am using a single season league, and in that year they were essentially identical.

You may be right, but the point is Boog is still under rated in comparison to Frank (and others from the 1960s) on the 1969 team.
