Just got beat 35-2

The Cubbies came to Coors and beat my Rockies 35-2 in August of 2016. Will try to post the box score but just in case here are the pitching stats and no I did not control this game the AI did.

Jorge De La Rosa - 5.1 IP, 14 ER, 128 pitches
Trevor Story (yea the SS) - 1.1 IP, 8 ER, 11 R, 62 pitches
Mark Reynolds (yea the 1B) - 1.2 IP, 6 ER, 60 Pitches
Brandon Barnes (yea the CF) - 0.2 IP, 4 ER, 36 pitches.

Any idea how all these guys made it onto the mound? Or that a guy makes it up to 14 ER before being yanked? I think your bench coach had a nervous breakdown.

rain delay in game ??? or any pitching injuries ???

Have found sometimes those two factors can create high scoring games

nope neither. Posted something in bug reports thread after the second time I got beat by over 30 runs. Will be posting more as it happened at least 3 times that I caught in one season and will be searching for more. The AI for pulling pitchers is messed up.

Why do you think its a bug ???

I have seen a 30 run game before on here. I did learn in my case it was because my opponent had depleted its bullpen the day before and my game was more a sacrificial lamb for their pitching.

Maybe not a bug but an error in simulation. Finished out the season 3rd in the NL West and had 4 losses where the opposing team scored 30 or more. How many times in MLB history has a team scored 30? That is more the point

The AI just had my Astros beat the Brewers 20 - 2. No injuries or rain or anything unusual. Just a ton of hits including four home runs with one of them being a grand slam. Made me happy. I'm back to a game under .500.

lol no need for chill, just saying once every now and then.. like you said nine years ago. 4 times in one season for 1 team when not checking others is a different story. Plus this for AI replacement of pitchers

average of maybe 5 pitches per pitcher after the SP gets injured. That's an AI error

I think something may be causing the AI to have to use position players as pitchers more often in 17. Someone posted about it in bug reports as well. In 17 I've seen it happen 3 or 4 times in a few years not even checking every box score for my team. I've simmed 20 seasons or more in the past month in OOTP16 and don't recall seeing it at all.

Definitely seems like something might be off. I've filed a bug report on it and also mentioned the three position player pitching in the same game.
