If it makes you feel any better(not sure why it would) I'm waiting for Steam as well. I accumulated $60 in Steam gift cards over the last 2 Christmas holidays and I'm determined to use them. OOTP is the only game I play. My internet sucks as well and I had real issues with the OOTP download last year. Steam worked without a hitch. 16 rocks and I just started year 51 of my random debut league, so I think I will survive.

OOTP is all that I play. I have steam only because of it.

I'm thinking when the football game arrives, I might have a second game to play. But, until then it's OOTP all the way.

This is me as well. I did make sure to download it right before I left for work so its ready to install when I get home. Today is going to be such a long day.
