Too many triples (part deaux)

I posted earlier about noticing a high rate of triples.
Other posters asked for proof, so here goes:
My historical simulation says that triples at up 10.8%, easily the greatest discrepancy between simulation and real life of all the categories listed.

Historically triples increased 10.6% from 2014 to 2015. So it happens IRL. What seasons are you comparing?

What variation would you be comfy with?

I'm playing in 1970. Garvey had two triples in one game.

When holding a historical draft, how much does that AI know about the players it is drafting? When I ran a draft in 1969, it took Reggie Jackson first and made other solid choices, but was that simply because they had high ratings or does it factor in the real-life careers these players end up having.
Guys like Dusty Baker weren't rated that highly in '69, but I knew he was going to have a good career.
