Winter Meetings

This is the first time I have ever experienced the Winter Meetings, as I never seem to make it this far in my associations.

What should I expect? Should I be seeing trade offers? Should I be trying to sign Free Agents?

I guess what I am trying to figure out is what is special about this time period. I am forcing myself to get to know the game better as I have preordered 17 and plan on getting through multiple seasons.

I appreciate the information.

For both trade discussions and free agent negotiations, you get some of feedback right away during the Winter Meetings. You'll likely get trade offers at this time as well.
