Be Current Manager or GM

A feature I have always wanted is where you can choose to play as a current manager or GM. When you start a new game, instead of creating a GM/Manager, can I just be a current active GM or manager? For example, can I CHOOSE to be Billy Beane as GM or can I CHOOSE to be Dusty Baker as a manager? When I choose Dusty Baker, can I act as him and have the record/history that comes with him?

It was Dusty Baker who also once said that baserunners just "clogged up the base paths." It's amazing how that man keeps getting rehired. Well, given some recent and current managers (cough Sciosia cough), maybe not.

Sciosia is the Isaiah Thomas (the HOF, coach) of the MLB. He has the ear of the owner and one wonders if they lost 100 games, would be fired or does he have blackmail photos of Arty? Mike basically has final say on everything unless it goes over the budget. It is like Arty gives him the money and the GM goes shopping with Mike's list!

You can not do this in OOTP 16 and unless it was added for OOTP 17 you can not assume the identity of an existing manager or GM. We asked for this last year.

That's what I thought too, but I wanted to see if there was a way or if it would be in OOTP 17, but I think it's a no to both.
