Game Crashes When I Try To Access Milestone Watch - Help

Never had this problem before. Every time i try to access milestone watch for the EBL in my EBL vs MLB league the game crashes. I can access the milestone watch for MLB. I have not tried the CBF yet. Not super critical but wondering if there is a way to access milestone watch other then through the drop down menu or thru history.

Please submit a ticket (Submit a ticket - Powered by Kayako Help Desk Software) and upload league files so that we can trace the crash.

As for the milestones, there's a smaller version on the league home page. That might work for you (or it might crash, depending what the problem overall is, so be sure to save the game first).

I cant seem to upload files. Site times out. How do i add a zip vs individual dats?

if you have any firewall rules created for the game, that could be a problem. i never let apps communicate online unless they have a specific need to do so.

otherwise, it might be looking up the wrong url, or their site was temporarily down or busy.

The site loads and i tried to attach files, it timed out after a while twice in a row. It could be my new internet, i dunno.

it's just a normal ftp site, right?

i might be dating mself...

download something simple like "myftp" and see if that will connect. (ftp client program or whatver tehy are called if not clients)

I can't find this anywhere in the bugs thread so I'm assuming it never got investigated.

I've had this happening as well and I think I've tracked down what is causing it. I have a 56 game season in my fictional league so I wanted to knock down all the milestone figures by roughly a third. Afterwards I kept getting the same crash as the OP. On both the milestone watch under league history and on the league home screen milestone tab.

After testing by changing the milestones one by one and then going to both milestone viewing pages I found it was the Milestone Career Home Runs that is causing the crash.

The crash occurs when you put in any number under 150. As soon as you go to a milestone page the game crashes. Put 150 or higher and it's fine, 149 or less and it crashes.

However whether this is actually a bug or it is necessary to have this lower limit I don't know.

Can someone test their game (after saving!) to see if it's a generic problem. I've tried it in other save games and repeated the crash every time.

Maybe someone can test the ootp beta 17 as well to see if it's the same and make the guys aware of it?

As i say perhaps it's necessary in the game design that it cannot go under 150 but either way it seems to be this that is causing this crash.

to help on this and from my same issue what matt Arnold suggested to me was put the zipped files on your drop box and put the link to it in the message body of the ticket. That did the trick and Matt Arnold was able to quickly diagnose the issue.

Sorry about this, yeah, there is a bug that if the milestone gets too low we ended up with a divide by zero issue. We'll have this fixed for 17
