Commissioner vs gm/manager

What are the pros and cons of each mode? I'd just like to know what everyone's opinion is

i liked to use both GM and Manager within the Commish mode, as it gives me better control over my team. Last time i let my bench coach do the rosters, he benched a 4 time MVP for a younger player who was not as good in the field or at bat, or as fast ....

i also disable owner controls. Last owner kept wanting a home grown player though my attendance was rising each year, and i was in the playoff race each year. So i traded for a home town player and the owner was happy for a couple of months. Well, that player quickly turned out to be an overpriced bum. So Mr. Owner wanted me to trade the guy for another player from my teams home town. After that, i quit the team, and subsequently turned off owner comment controls when i decided to revamp my focus and restart the game again from 1901. Seems to me owner controls just add conflict in case the GM is doing too good a job.

i also play cannot be fired, just because i like it i guess.

Commissioner = God of entire Universe

GM/Manager = God of your team (for the most part)

There are no Pro's and Con's. They are different roles in OOTP. It all depends on what you want and wish to accomplish.

One thing I like about the commissioner mode is that I can quick play single games without having to sim the whole game day.

I like to follow my league's closely and by taking a look at the records and the pitching matchup and THEN quickplay the game, I feel much more comfortable doing so.

I like the owner options only because there are some unreasonable owners out there but I like the fact you can turn them off if you want.

You know, just because an owner sets a goal, doesn't mean you have to do it. Owners make crazy requests all the time. Don't treat the goals as a rpg quest list

The problem with Commish mode is that it lets you do things which are not believable.

It annoys me that I EVER have to turn on Commish mode (which I do because of what I see as a fault in the current version of the game... the inability to move player icons on the field without editing the field itself.)
