Help Needed / Non-baseball Logo

Hey folks,

I need some help with a non-baseball logo, and before I go enlisting the help of professionals I thought I would ask the experts here.

I recently joined a band (I play drums), and we use this logo:

I would love to get this logo on a bass drum head, but that image is literally the only one we have, and it's like a 300x300 pixel jpg file. They don't have the original file used to create it. Obviously, if I blow this up on a bass drum, it's going to be super-pixellated.

Do you experts know of any way I could reverse-engineer this graphic into a higher-quality version that could be blown up a put on a drum? Or am I pretty much looking at having to pay a graphic designer to redo it for me?
