Talking Comments about the sounds (good)

I really love the sounds in game. It adds SO much life to the experience. One thing I would like to see (or hear) in the future, if there are going to be more sounds added, is to hear fireworks going off when the home team hits a home run. Just a thought. Might be a nice addition.

You have to figure that some folks will put together some sound packs and additional skins.

One thing I really would like is to hear the National Anthem at the start of the game.... and "Take me Out To The Ballgame" during the seventh inning stretch!

I agree that the addition of sound adds so much to the experience as well.

Better yet...a file of Harry Caray singing the 7th inning stretch...maybe in a Cubs pack of some sorts? That'd be great to hear Harry's voice on this game...I might try to look for a Harry file tonight or tomorrow.

I agree, the fireworks would be cool too.

I haven't even actually got to start a game on this thing yet. I opened it up, looked at the skins and stuff, I've been really busy though. I'm finally going to settle in and play some right now. Had some buddies over and they were on the comp for a while so now I'm digging in for some good ol' OOTP5.

Only problem is te Interface sound gets annoying after about 10 minutes!Maybe if the noises were different each scroll-over but that same beep 15 times to scroll down to your team gets annoying fast!

how exactly would you implement the sound into the 7th innin stretch?

the wave files just say, "hit", "rally", etc. Unless, i'm missin it, there doesn't seem to be a folder that details when and where the sounds will play.

I love the sounds too, but we need a massive "groan" or something when the visiting team hits a big home run. Right now there's no crowd reaction at all to that - it's like nothing happened.

I'm with you N8dogg777, that was the first thing I changed in the games. I have a microphone on my computer so I recorded some blank noise and pasted it over menu_drop.wav

I love the new ambient sound. It's one of the few things I missed from the old Strat-O-Matic computer game. Now OOTP has it and I'm glad. My only concern is that it seems to slow down the bootup. When I first start the game, it hangs at "Initializing Sounds" for a very long time. Anyone else have this problem?
