Adding a Fictional Minor League to Real World

I would like to add a small, eight-team fictional league within the full real world start up (MLB, Japan, Independent, etc.). What is the best way to go about doing this? I would like the fictional league to be an independent league.

If you're trying to add a minor league you just go to "League Settings" and under the "Available Actions" tab select "add minor/feeder league".

To add an independent league, go under the "Game" menu, and then the pulldown menu under "Available Global Actions". Then pick "Add a New League" to this game and follow the prompts. Be careful with the settings so that you don't end up with players better than MLB (i.e. choose to create at AA level or something, and set league reputation consistent with other leagues you have in there.

I only have two pieces of advice, I may be forgetting some obvious things but...

1. Make sure you have a few days before the other leagues start playing. Sometimes it takes advancing a day to get things to come together.

2. Set the other leagues (if you can) to not allow free agents from other leagues. That way if you decide to dump the generated players and regenerate them or something you won't inherit a billion fake players in your other FA lists.
