Hometown Player...not a Hometown Player?!

Currently running the Blue Jays. Owner wants a hometown player...I grabbed TWO from Toronto. He's pissed I didn't pickup a hometown guy. No prob...pick up a guy from Canada. Still unhappy! Have you seen this glitch?!?!?!?!?

About a year ago, there was this thread. Read it through for some clues.

Also, this is going to sound dumb to ask but, do you have your Toronto ballclub actually located in Toronto? For any team, including MLB, it is possible to have this arrangement, on purpose or by omission, as shown in the first screen print.

In the second screen print, I am really pushing my luck, eh? Sorry if I insult your intelligence with this possibility!

You're kidding. Is that really what happened? (Which is understandable, because city selection can happen automatically and if you neglected to located the team in Canada . . . )
