SiM speed?

Is it me or does it take a lot longer time to sim weeks in the game. I had ootp4 and I didn't think it took this long...... I have 640 megs ddr ram 1.74ghz processor so i know the computer should be able to handle it. am i missing something? or is it just taking generally longer??

I believe it is taking longer due to the increased stats being kept in the database (career minor league / post season).

yea I noticed slower speeds too, but I sorta like it....because maybe I'll take my time a little more....

It's not horrible, so I am fine with it

If you've ever compared the sim speed in OOTP 4 when you have minors simulated on and off. The speed difference on my computer was HUGE. Since OOTP 5 is storing the minor league stats, which is freakin fabulous, there is no way for it not to slow the sim speeds down.

The more teams in your league, and the more minor league teams and the stats they generate are going to greatly impact slim speed..

I don't think the enhancements make up for the added sim time.

I don't think the added time is unreasonable

Well, keep in mind, there are 60 games per day simulated in a 30 team league... I really think the sim speed is REALLY fast considering the number of games and comparing it to other simulation games.

me neither, just making sure my computer wasn't being gay and causing the sim speed to be slower then previous versions.

Didn't OOTP4 simulate 60 games per day in a 30 team league too? Not saying it isn't fast, but you'd figure it would be the same speed.
