Fictional League Players at Creation

Hey guys,

I'm thinking of starting a new fictional league.

I always think a fictional league is most fun with some type of back story. I'm thinking of doing something like a British league if it started in 2015.

It seems though, when you start fictional leagues, you get a mix of rookies and grizzled old veterans.

If a league some how started in the UK, my instincts make me think that there wouldn't be too many 36 year olds who pick up a bat for first time and are amazing right away.

I was wondering if there's a way to generate only players who are youngish and all stink (with variable amounts of potential of course). That would seem to simulate what I believe it would be like for a league that's just starting. Nobody particularly good at first then guys getting better.

What do you guys think?

I would mass delete all the initial players and then go to the FA or draft pool screen and create enough fictional players to fill your league. You can do several imports like this to have some players be better then others.
I use it often if i need to fill the minors with more talent.

You can also delete all the initial players, then use the fill teams option and set the age for each level in league setup.

I use this all the time with a new fictional.

16-18 Rookie
17-20 A
18-21 AA
19-23 AAA
21-27 ML

I then release all players/hold fantasy draft.

this actually inspired a pretty cool idea for me. I created a league and deleted all the players. Then I created enough 16 year olds for 40 players on each team. Then I turned off the draft and all free agent creations. So basically the same class of 16 year oldster their whole careers!! It's very interesting!
