Possible bug with ootp 15 and 16

Hopefully someone can help me here to determine if I have found a bug or just a quirk of the game.

I have just transfered my historic dynasty game from ootp 15 to ootp 16. I did this at the end of a season after the playoffs had been played as suggested in the procedure to bring it into 16.

I decided to check through the OOTP 16 version a bit and check out the retired players for the 1885 season for my dynasty reporting to confirm it still looked good. The Detroit Wolverines minor league system had Catcher Bill Rollinson retiring and to add him to my write up I have going I needed to look at his stats so duly clicked on him only to get up Pitcher Charlie Parsons bio information.I thought this odd so decided to go and check the OOTP 15 version I still had to see if the port over to 16 had failed in some way. I checked 15 and when I clicked on Rollinson I again got up Charlie Parsons bio page.

This to me seems odd and is the only player this has happened to from what I can tell.

If I click on Charlie Parsons I get Charlie Parsons Bio page up so he is not affected.

Has anybody else ever experienced this issue or anything similar and should I be reporting it as a bug?

It does mean I cannot report on Rollinsons stats within my dynasty write up but I don't think that matters to much as he didn't play much anyway.

Further to the above i ran a test of the 1884 and 1885 seasons in both ootp 15 and 16 and it happened in both games the same way? Does seem to be a bug there somewhere.

This happens when a player is deleted.

It does not sound like you retired him manually and thus maybe deleted him on accident, so I ask if you possibly have the setting for "Deleting Players Who Never Reach the Majors" active?

I have checked both the ootp 15 and ootp 16 version of the game and both have this box de-activated so that I would expect them to stay in the game.

My only thought is that he didn't play any major or minor league games and thus got deleted from what you are saying.

I did another run and forced him to play some minor league ball and that time he stayed in the game.
