Both teams were AI controlled. Charlotte's pitcher Palet carried a no-hitter through 10 innings before finally being beaten in the 11th by a walk-off homer from Virginia Beach catcher Munoz. His opposition, Dan Barber, pitched eight innings of one-hit ball and struck out 13 to keep the Bandits scoreless.
