Dissappointed that playoff outcomes are predetermined
I am disappointed that outcomes of playoff series are predetermined. My scout previews the upcoming playoff series. Without fail, the number of games he previews is exactly how long the series lasts. For example, he previewed my Divisional Series and listed it as a 3 game series. Sure enough, I lost the first 2 road games and then lost the 3rd and final game at home. This also happened in previous playoff series. This is a major disappointment in the game.

Maybe, but only if you're playing historical 1919.

IF you have scouting on for each series you will notice it is NOT predicting anything. Its just basically telling you the rotation and yours as well as the good hitters your facing. Also each of your record as well. NEVER is ANY game predetermined.

Nothing matters anyway. We're just fans inside someone's OOTP universe. Hope they back up their hard drive regularly.

Interesting fact: up through the 2014 season, the most likely outcome of a best-of-5 series in MLB post-seasons was a sweep (37.1%). The second-most likely outcome was a 4-game series (31.1%) and a series going 5 games was the least likely (31.0%). In terms of raw numbers, 43 best-of-5 series ended after 3 games, 37 ended after 4 games, and 36 ended after 5 games.
