Idea for leagues with single minor team

After throwing around the idea of adding a minor league to my game. I thought of something I thought was pretty interesting.

Setting up the minor team in the same city and using the same stadium and having them play the same schedule but opposite time of day. So it would be like this.
--If the ML team played a night game the minor team would play a day game and vice versa. (although it should probably be rare for the minor team to get the night half)

Teams fans would get the option to watch a "double header" every day for the single ticket price. (which would somewhat explain why minors don't have financials) The only time this would get wonky is the minors playoffs and rainouts (since the game would schedule dual day/night double headers on the same day).

I like the concept, would the minor leagues have different team names?

Also think about the potential rivalries that could form from guys playing in the minors and coming up to the big leagues...

Teams could have different names. Maybe the minor team is "sponsored" or the same name as the ml team with the colors reversed.

Yeah the rivalries would last a lifetime. Not just with players of other teams either. Under performing overpaid players would be watching the guys tearing up the minor league just waiting for a chance to take his job. You'd also have sure fire HOFers there to help coach up the new guys coming in. Lots of potential interesting things could happen.

Like the idea. I can't imagine it will get any more wonky than the default which annually schedules me a rained out, makeup, home & away double header on the same day.

I forsee some things that might go wrong. Rain delays, make up games might cause and issue assuming the game regiznized tjay two teams
Are playing and sharing the same stadium and perhaps schedule on the same night due to weather factors. If the game
Does not recognize that it will never have any scheduling conflicts then. Just like travel is not recognize. You can play a game in Sydney, Australia and the next morning in Mexico City and after that in London England and travel will never be an issue

If you want to avoid the rainout problem, just give them a domed stadium.

It would only be wrong in continuity the game handles it fine since it doesn't take into account games of other leagues. You can actually set up leagues to all play in the same stadium all the time nothing happens in game.

Personally the day night home away double headers don't bother me. Every game has a funny quirk like that. I think it'd be funny if the devs left it in the game.
