Why are my players showing up ready for the Majors

Started a game and all my players are only showing up to the draft in the year they started playing in the majors? What gives. Want to do a historical game with scouting but cannot figure it out.

That is how the default database works with OOTP16. Players appear the first year they made the majors.

So how does one work around this? Historical wont let me use scouting.

Adjust the ratings scales to 1-8 or 1-10, there may be a 1-5, I cannot remember. This will make their ratings unclear enough to mimic scouting.

Do a search in the mods database forum for "Historical Importer 3.0 Plus" ... its a bit clunky to figure out at first, but you can essentially import a guy who's rookie debut is at age 22 in 1999 as an 18 year old (or whatever you choose) in 1995. When they import, they'll be "raw" looking, like a true amateur draft pool should, and will need time in the minors.

My steps to build the list - open Master.csv file, and SAVE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE WITH A DIFFERENT NAME! From this file, add a column and call it something like 'import year'. In that column, enter a formula to take their birth year and add 18 or 19 or 20 to it (I use 19). Now, you can sort your file by import year. Add another column next to their first name/last names, and concatenate the 2 columns. Copy this list into the Importer tool, place the year in your 'import year' column into the tool as well, then take what the tool gives you and copy it to a .txt file. This can be imported in to your draft pool! Easy, right?
