I'm a big OOTP fan, but not a big baseball fan, so I might be wrong in assuming that most real-life players do not hit as well when pinch hitting as they do when in the lineup. If that assumption is true in real life, I wonder if OOTP makes some adjustment when a pinch hitter goes to the plate, to reduce his performance. I ask because I wonder which is worse for player development, (a) pinch hitting regularly, or (b) sitting on the bench when not getting a start.
