Player of the Game criteria?

Just played a Met game where Matt Harvey threw 8 innings of two-hit, shutout ball, Wilmer Flores hit for the cycle in 5AB with 2 rbi, but it was Juan Lagares with a 4-for-6 day (2hr, 2 singles, 4rbi) that got the honors.

With all three players legitimate contenders, what was the tipping point for Lagares?

It's probably that Lagares' Batting Game Score was greater than Matt Harvey's Pitching Game Score. You could verify this -- Matt Harvey's Game Score should be listed right in the box score. Lagares' Batting Game Score ought to be listed under League Info->League Reports->Top Performances->Batters. (This assumes Lagares' performance was one of the top 25 of the season, which seems likely.)
